Arkansas Natural History
Mt. Magazine State Park
In the past, we have concentrated our efforts on other regions of the United States. In the spring of 2002, several teachers expressed an interest in developing websites about the "Natural State." As a result Southern Arkansas University and South Central Service Cooperative combined efforts to meet the requests of the teachers.
The Arkansas Natural History class included classroom instruction, two field trips to different areas of Arkansas. Topics of study included geology, botany, biology, and zoology.
Each participant was required to develop an interactive website on an Arkansas related topic. Click on one of the topics at the left and enjoy the "Natural State."
